Spice for Life a Short Film
(Callum’s Cut)
Spice for Life is an intimate character driven short film exploring the fragile relationship between Sully, a withdrawn teenager, and Helen, his awkward yet kind-hearted foster parent. Their early interactions are marked by discomfort and emotional distance, worsened by Helen’s clumsy attempt to cook a traditional meal. However, as they begin to cook together, this shared activity becomes a subtle yet powerful form of communication. With minimal dialogue and expressive visual storytelling, the film showcases how small gestures can create connection, with a shared meal marking the first step toward mutual acceptance and healing.
