SoundCloud Promo Animation for Asonn
This project was created to promote Toronto-based upcoming artist Asonn, his music and SoundCloud page. Shared across Twitter and Instagram, the video was designed to offer viewers a smooth and relaxed experience while still capturing and holding attention. To achieve this balance, a custom SoundCloud UI was illustrated with precise continuity to the official design. This detail-focused approach, though time-consuming, added significant polish and elevated the overall quality of the final project.

Background
I aimed to maintain the clean and smooth theme that I had going throughout the whole project. The background is essentially the SoundCloud logo duplicated in diagonal lines. Firstly, I turned the SoundCloud logo (.EPS file) into a shape layer and then utilised the shape options (repeater) to duplicate the logo diagonally. Finally, I placed two position keyframes to give the background motion and used an expression to continue the motion beyond the second keyframe.

SoundCloud Soundtrack
The overall objective of the motion graphic advertisement video was to promote Asonn's music. I created lower thirds to clearly present the previewed song to the viewers at its moment of being teased within the video. When introducing and ending the animation for the lower third, I utilised the iconic bright, orange SoundCloud play/pause button. This was to capture the audience's direct attention. I also animated the text and background to bring the lower third to life through the use of additional motion.

Lower Thirds
I made lower thirds to clearly show the song during its preview in the video. For the animation, I used the bright orange SoundCloud play/pause button to grab viewers' attention. I also animated the text and background to add motion and make the lower third more dynamic.
